The Board of Directors
The Good Samaritans Board of Directors comprised of Mission members from previous years. They are tasked with overseeing the development and operation of all aspects of the Ministry's work to include Summer Missions, Educational programs and the building of the Medical-Dental Institute.
Team Bio:
John Branch, D.O., Chairman
Born and raised in Long Beach, California, John Branch decided at age twelve that he should become a doctor. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California at San Diego, and his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences/ College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. Dr. Branch joined the Ministry in 2001 and has served the people of Vietnam continously since then. |

Vien D. Doan, D.O., Medical Director Dr. Doan came to the United States at the end of the Vietnam War in 1975 as a young boy with his family of 7. With nothing but shirts on their backs, the Doans rebuilt their lives. His family lived with an American family in Des Moines, Iowa for the first 6 months, learning what love and care could do to a stranger, he set his sight on one day sharing that experience to other strangers of this world. Today Dr. Doan has a full time practice of Family Medicine in Riverside, CA and devotes most of his spare time to the Ministry. |

Minh Ly Tran, PharmD, Pharmacy Director Minh Ly completed her undergraduate at UCLA for Biochem and went to USC College of Pharmacy. She has been working at San Gabriel Valley Medical Center as clinical pharmacist for about 8 yr. and attends church at San Gabriel Valley C&MA church for over 20 yrs. |

Andrew Ong, Chaplain Pastor Andrew came to the United States in 1975 when he was 4 years old. He graduated from University of California San Diego and went on to attend Fuller Theological Seminary and earned his Masters of Divinity. He did not return to Vietnam until 2005 as a member of the GSMDM, with his family. He fell in love with the mission and the country and has gone on the mission 5 more times, and has served with the ministry ever since then. He served as a Committee member, a Board member and a Team Chaplain. Now, he serves as a senior pastor, with his wife and 3 children, with the Vietnamese Alliance Church in San Francisco |
